Not all, get that out of the way. And Im sure its been talked about but I haven't really seen it.
There are obvious downfalls but the good outweighs the bad for many. And Im not talking about a town of 400 people in Western Texas. Im a 2-4 hour drive from 4 major metropolitan areas. The more relaxed pace leads to less anxiety. The familiarity can get old but also leads to more relaxed conversations. Also, I see plenty of objectively ugly dudes with (objectively ugly) chicks. But thats a whole different can of worms.

I'm over the city live and I've never lived in the city.
Dealing with the cringmaxxed club crowd was enough from me. Plus some of the nicest areas in town have degraded in to high crime areas. Rent plummeted because of that and it's only attracted worse so far.

I lived in the city most of my life but moved to the burbs. The older I get the more rural I want to be.

I visit friends in rural areas a few times per year, but wouldn't want to get used to that life.
It's not bad, but it's really boring. I have too much life experience at this point to go live in the woods for the next 40 years.
I'd rather live in the country than in the Suburbs though. The Burbs are nothing but an environment to rot in.

Starting to sound cliche though. My main point is a ton of people would be way better off socially, professionally, just better off in general in small towns. They're not sexy but a lot of the problems I read about on here are foreign to me, don't really exist here.
