Why do people use suitcases as luggage?

Srs. I always lol at soyboys and betas carrying massive suitcases as luggage with those annoying squeeky wheels.

Whenever I'm travelling or going away somewhere always take a big Nike sports bag like an alpha, can easily carry everything I need and don't need to cause a racket.

some of it is fashion( expensive bag) some protection( hard outer shell) some of it is over packing so you have clothes and shoes for any situation

I do a small carry-on duffle bag AT MOST.

I prefer to do just a backpack so I can stick it under the seat in front of me, and skip the baggage carousel after the flight.

I bought a fox motocross bag right before a big trip to costa rica. It worked so well I never used it for my gear and bought another one for bike gear.

Its huge, tons of pockets, the inside was red so I could find stuff easy. The ends had vents for scuba stuff.

I love that thing.

So you are worried about causing a racket, while other guys are making all the noise they want and carrying a MASSIVE case.
Sounds like they are the DGAF alphas and you are the mild mannered beta in this scenario. It's ok. My grandma carried a purse too. Always had candy in there all melted into the wrapper.

carry on luggage plus bag fits everything i need for travel. if im gone for a while, like month+, then ill just buy whatever i need in terms of clothing along the way while im there.

im super impatient so i hate checking **** in then waiting like a donkey at feeding time for it to come out of that conveyorbelt. plus i dont like the idea of those morons they hire handling stuff that i need.

Dakine Split Roller. I travel quite a bit with work / play, and haven’t found anything that works better.

Thing is a tank, and very user friendly.

I refuse to free advertise for a company like Nike ever again.

I check-in a suitcase if going for more than a few days, and have a simple carry-on bag for electronics and a book for the flight.

I travel a good bit and I've streamlined my travel kit.

I have a carry on size suitcase that rolls (fits in overhead compartment in plane) and a standard size backpack/day-pack. Back pack goes on my back when moving or under the seat in front of me when on the plane. Rolling suitcase can be rolled or carried in one hand if I'm moving fast/over non roll-able ground. Doesn't matter if I'm going for a week or a month. If I need more gear its either getting mailed there or I'll buy when I get there and figure out if I want to give it away or mail it back home later.

I don't particularly like checking bags and I'd only do that if I'm bringing guns on the trip. Or maybe if I were going diving/snowboarding I'd check that gear.


I'd love the ability to buy one of those 40l backpacks and just carry it on my back and stow it on the overhead compartment when I'm on the plane. Problem is 99% of the time when I travel I'm going to be doing out-door activities. Hiking, climbing, fishing, etc. and I like to have a small day pack with me.
