Competitive gaming. Easily.

You can be a completely dysfunctional retard and still do it so long as you can obsess over a video game long enough. Heck you don't even need to be physically capable in any capacity.

The hobby is full of basement dwellers for a good reason.

The park next to us has a course so I see the dudes most weekends since my kids like the playground. It honestly looks fun and I love playing frisbee but the crowd it draws is a riot of bad life choices.

Best dude this morning was man bun, no shirt, homeless guy pants and sandals with a lot backwoods cigar (not blunt) hanging off his lip at like 930am carrying his discs in a battered briefcase.

Always has some of the most try hard bums in their 30s acting as if every pick up game is nba finals

Ones that I have been and currently involved in: Skateboarding and Poker.

Skateboarding:

The whole culture is fked srs. It's widely accepted to fk up other people's property so that you can "get some sikk clips bro". Even pros like Nyjah post professional videos of them taking a hack saw to a handrail on someone else's property. Just completely braindead. Not to mention, it's also widely accepted to get into fights with security guards. A guy just doing his job, probably getting paid slightly above minimum wage. And you go push him, punch him in the face etc so you can get some "gnarly clips bro"?? Half the dudes also got drug charges ded fkin Srs. Guy I'm associated with is like 33-34 and just got caught with heron. It's over srs

Poker:

100% degenmaxxers. The whole industry is propped up on the backs of addicts dumping their entire paycheck and rent money every weekend ded fkin Srs. Even a lot of the pros are just degenerates that happened to get good at the game. Some are just good at being sociable/charismatic enough to get stakes and loans at a moments notice.

Fine by me. I 100% agree with the post, but along with the degeneracy comes big, big egos which is where I stop feeling bad.

The average competitive gamer ain't getting paid chit. These aren't pros, we're talking about hobbyists.

Out of the "pros" though, most streamers are degen.
