It happened to me during covid and I had like 6 months.

Just necessity bills. Woulda been nice to not have had to use it though.

Luckily I have other savings and a wife who makes ok money for when I started a new career.

Catching up now.

Ps wouldn’t have been laid off if not for covid. Very cool.

About 10 years if I keep up my current lifestyle, assuming no major unexpected financial crisis

Maybe double that if I live like a literal peasant

Until the end of my mortal life if I retreat to my third world chithole motherland

Enough to last until I'm dead, provided I'm not some freak of nature and live until I'm 200.

Seriously, though, if I lived until I was 200 I'd be a billionaire, even if all I did was dick around in equities.

None in cash, but I could spend a few years depleting my retirement savings

Could live for a few years just off credit capacity in an absolute worst case scenario

If you earned even a 6% return on your money, it would double every ~12 years.

^^ if you started with a million dollars to invest, at 6% it would be almost $9T in 200 years.

I'd probably buy a boat (and maybe the Pacific Ocean), but other than that I wouldn't change much from what I'm doing now.

However much about 2-3 mil will last with having an extra 800k infusion from selling the family home and living down in the families beach house.

Idk brah I'm not much of a finance guy but I'm trying not to get into the habit of dipping into savings because I really wanna buy a house next year. Once I get my baseline 25-30k I'm gonna rid my debt pretty fast, I knew I was starting a new job soon anyway prior to making that car maintenance payment on the cc
