finally got my first junior position, how to cope with the 9-5 life?

graduated 3 months ago, cs, had a very frustrating job searching period. sent around 250-300 CV's, had like 15 phones, 5 home tests, only 1 face to face intreview at a company - passed it, and signed the offer today. full stack (mainly dot net) developer..

the first reaction was obviously happy af. finally starting my career, getting some decent money and not minimum wage at a chitty job (was really close to taking a big loan to get by), etc etc.

not sure how to cope best with the 9-5 life. a big problem is the commute that is around 1:10! at most days i would probaly leave my apartment at 07:10, and get back at 18:30. sounds brutal.
for the last 3 months i had the LDAR life, working 3 shifts a week at some chitty job, waking up around 11am, mainly rotting. a complete different life.

any other 9-5 slaves here can share tips how to cope?

RIP Pedro Suarez Vertiz. Te queremos Hermano

If your right leg is Thanksgiving and your left leg is Christmas, can I come and visit you between the holidays?

Lol there is no way to cope. Being a fulltime wageslave is a fate worse than death.. VERY SERIOUS. Your life is not much better than a literal slave from the past, a fcking serf. Every day the joy in your life diminishes and you will feel your soul being taking away, piece by piece.

You try to minimize the pain by actually finding work you like (but good luck, there's a reason they pay you... and statistically 80%+ hates their job) or you try finding part time job so you decrease the suffering. The ultimate solution is starting a business and making it as passive as possible.

Good luck OP.
