Why is weed not legalized yet?

I know you the misc hates "joggers" etc, but why isn't it legal?

This is definitely a conservative issue eh?

Probably because the legalization process in places like California have been an absolute disaster due to over regulation, over taxation and the inability of our politicians to get out of their own way. It boggles the mind how we could **** up something as simple as legalizing weed

Keeping it in their back pocket to bust it out when they need it. 2022 is a lost cause, so busting out legalization is wasting it?
People that smoke weed are usually irresponsible losers, so maybe it's not worth it since those burnouts might forget to vote, and accepting the big pharma bribes might be the better option?

Big Pharma probably one of the main reasons

cannibis/hemp do alot of the things big pharma makes pills for.

Big Pharma is behind a nationwide ban on nicotine vaping. They rather have people on cigarettes or using Big pharma nicotine products.

Because no one would need to buy big pharmas damaging pain killers/opiods ever again, costing them billions a year.

Isn't it in reality though? You can buy Delta 8 or Delta 10 at half a dozen places within a 10 minute drive of my house in NC. Maybe 15 minutes at most. A nice little loophole. Hell, I could have it delivered within a couple hours. I have gummies on a shelf in my home office that I bought legally (and barely ever take, too intense). For the OG stuff first they need to take it off Schedule 1, since that's smooth brained. At the very least decriminalize it entirely ASAP, but I won't hold by breath.

Old boomers mostly control the legislative process and probably still believe government propaganda about weed from the 50s and 60s.

Haha some funny, and informative answers in this thread. Of course I know that it's pretty much "Legal" just always think its funny how weed is federally illegal surely someone in the 70's would've thought by now it would be legal, but yea like some people said big pharma would be the biggest losers.

I say this as a person who's never really been into weed...more of a drinker kinda funny eh?

because some politicians are still working out deals with the cartel bosses. Soon as they finalize those you will see some progress.

Plus they dont need young voters so much at the ballots now. Come 2024 big election they will need a bigger turn out so they will have ballot measures then for it.
