Why don't more people just say the truth when it comes to hanging out?

I'm actually kinda triggered right now, but lol I really don't like when people lie about hanging out.

I'm 34 I rarely go out anymore maybe a bar once or twice a month, but one day I said fukk it lets go to the bars with the boys, and I called up one of my friends, and he's been doing this for years now he always says "um yeah dude lets hang out but im working on my car"

Funny thing is one time when I asked him to hang out and said he was working on "his car" lol I was at total wine, and saw him buying vodka with his mom lmao.

His mom was nice, but he started stuttering about his dad and oil change.

LOL just say the truth mane if you dont wanna hang out just say nope.
