Best tequila for sipping?

Can anyone give me any good recommendations? I know nothing about tequila and I need it for a gift.

Thank you

2nd on Herradura

Casamigos is solid value
Siete Leguas is solid value

Would recommend anejos over silver for sipping.

Fortaleza right now has a good head of steam as a top notch Tequila. I haven't had it yet. My low end sipper is Herradura Reposado. High end and favorite is Tears of Llorona.

I have the espolon reposado.
it's ok.

i found a semi local distiller with a blue aquave spirit (can't call it tequila) that is very smooth and easy to drink straight.

Don fulano anejo

80 bottle that I would rank as better than panca azule anejo or Julio 1942

So better than 100-200 bottles

Arette anejo would be a good choice, not as common or recognizable as most mentioned, quality is hard to beat at the price point. They roast the agave instead of steaming which adds a layer of flavour. Good chit

Personally I like patron silver for drinking straight up. Few here I haven't tried though so I'll have to check them out. Everything in the 50-60 dollar range I've tried hasn't tasted as good as patron to me. But I'm no expert I only drink about a pint a day.
