Why Tom Brady made the right decision to choose football over family

So, I was watching TV tonight and Troy (2004) was on. There's a scene where Achilles (Brad Pitt) talks with his mother about whether or not he should go to Troy and fight in the great war.

She gives him the ultimate legacy speech. You know, the type of pep talk your high school football coach would give you?

I couldn't help but think of Tom Brady and his decision to continue playing.

The CTE might destroy him, but it's football: nothing is more important. He might be the GOAT right now, but who's to say a guy doesn't come along in a generation or two. Someone who dethrones him? It would've been a shame for Tom to have retired when he still had years left in the tank.

Gisele has to realize this is about Tom's legacy. I'm 100% with TB.
"If you stay here, with me, with your family, you'll have a long, peaceful life. You'll marry, you'll have children, and your children will have children. They'll love you, and when you're gone they'll remember you. But when your children are dead, and their children after them, your name will be lost."

"If you go to Troy, no one will earn more glory than you. Men will tell stories of your victories for thousands of years. The world will remember your name."

"But if you go to Troy, you'll never come home. You'll die there."

Nothx jeff. Would rather keep my super model wife and kids together than one more ring to an already 7 ring display

I still think Gisele is a bish though for not supporting Tom until he’s done

I can guarantee you that that is his mentality

He always wanted to be at Michael Jordan level. And he is there but he wants more
