MAGA needs to take a breather but not a step back.
Like most of you I’m just aghast at the election results.
As I look at the numbers (largest turn out of single women in recent history etc) the picture is becoming more clear.
Abortion with a dash of student loan forgiveness drove this. Abortion is a dead issue and the majority of Americans seem to be in favor of it in some form. I actually think we’d see a similar reaction to gun rights if people felt they were legitimately under attack.
Now that these sad women have been unleashes I’m not sure there is any putting them back after they got a taste of the power they have. Some may get married then skew right but not many.
Trump was not to blame. His platform is solid and I hope to god Republicans do not abandon the new nationalist populist movement. If so they will never win again. Youngkin types are great runs in states that lean blue but not nationally imo. Mitch ****ed everyone in this because he wanted to hurt the MAGA movement.

-GOP establishment purposefully pulled support to hurt MAGA movement.
-Mitch even tried to put forth a nation wide ban on abortion, also to drive dem turnout and hurt MAGA
-Trumps message/platform STILL works for GOP and should continue to be embraced.

DeSantis is the evolution of Trump.

With that said, if I was a resident of Florida, I would never want DeSantis to stop being Governor. He is going to get to the Whitehouse and just get stone walled by congress on everything.
