Is There Anything Worse In Life Than Selling Your House At a Loss???

My buddy is on variable.

he has to pay extra 2K a month on mortgage due to rising interest rate. he bought in 2020.

He asked me for a loan. I declined of course jfl


and now he's forced to sell. Home price has crashed by 450K in his area.



Imagine paying $3500/month for 2 years on your mortgage. I'm chipping away at that mortgage gaiz, building my equity! Never late on a single payment!

End up losing your home and yet STILL owe the bank $450K. With no home.



This has to be the worst case scenerio in life. death sentence.

$450k underwater is a pretty ridiculous number. You just have to be mad at yourself for that, but if you can qualify for a $1M mortgage you must have enough money where it's not he end of the world.

The time you spend not mowing grass and plunging toilets can be used for something else more productive. By that logic, it never makes sense to pay anybody else to do anything for you, because it's always lost money.

Renting frees up your obligations for housing, so you can build wealth in other areas. Remember, a Primary Residence isn't an asset, it is a liability.
