whats your average resting heart rate?

I bought a fitness tracker watch recently and the heart rate monitor is starting to scare me. My average resting heart rate is over 100 bpm and goes up to the 160s when lifting. this cant be normal right...? Im pretty fit and not overweight at all. Do I need to start doing cardio?

Like 62-65

You on chit tons of caffeine? Have high bp? dehydrated? High anxiety, stressed?

100 is not normal for resting. 160 is high AF for just lifting.

Mid high 50s now, when i ride the bike (actual bike) for a while it drops to low 40s. Can't imagine anything higher than 80, seems like something would have to be wrong to be that high.

I have one of those heart rate monitor strap things and if its not on just right, it will register super high heart rate.

Slight adjustment and it shows a normal one. Quit wearing it because its a pain to get right.

When I’m sleeping it goes as low as high 40s/ low 50s

Awake and resting it’s higher, probably cause I’m stressed out all the time and drink lots of caffeine
