honestly i dont know how most people live like this.
during my early 20s i used to work in random gigs and that was kinda fun. in my mid 20s i went to college and worked only part time in some gigs.
i started my first "big boys" jobs 2 weeks ago as a software developer.. for that i studied 3 years, spent alot of money and had to be in a really try hard mode for the last 3 months to finally get my first junior position. obviously my financial situation with this job is completely different. the work itself is fine.
but anything else? wtf guys.
brb wake up at 6:30am everyday
brb traffic
brb EVERYONE at work look depressed and rotting, just counting the time to go home
brb come to my apartment only at 18pm, no energy for anything. no gym no going out. just rotting in my apartment
brb everyday is the same. i swear to god i start notice the same people in the train everyday

Lol welcome to the life brah. It gets better, especially if you have fun co workers. First 3-6 months are the worst. Then you learn to cope in various ways.
It’s up to you to decide if the money is worth it boyo

Hang in there, young boyo...
All of us used to be in that same boat. But you have to pay your dues as a young man. Learn how to climb the latter so that you can make more money while doing less work.
You should spend your young working years soaking in as much knowledge as possible, build your network of reliable contacts and allies, keep an updated resumé on hand at all times, and always be on the lookout for a better opportunity.
This is what I did when I was a young 20-something guy. Now I'm sitting comfy WFHing in my home office.
The only people who say college isn't worth the effort are the jackas5es that got Gender Studies degrees and ended up working at Starbucks.

I know it doesn't feel like you have any energy for the gym but you definitely do. You sat around all day and didn't do jack sh*t. Force yourself to get in the car and go to the gym. Once you get there and do a warm up set you'll find you do have the energy
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Go to the gym before going home. Whether that means finding a gym near the office or on the way home, you will be far more likely to go than if you go home and then have to come back out again.
Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!
The only dangerous thing about an exercise is the person doing it.
They had the technology to rebuild me. They made me better, stronger, faster......

I’ve been 9-5ing it since August after 2 years at a (low paying) WFH gig.
I hate my life now.
It’s just as bad as you say OP. The entire day from wake to sleep is misery. My brain is fried from sitting in a cubicle and starting at a computer screen all day. The unhappy NPCs in the office siphon all of my energy. By the time I get home I’m too drained to do anything but rot. I’ll be lucky if I squeeze in 2 workouts per week. I’m more irritable, getting road rage and snapping easier lately, I guarantee my IQ dropped 10-15 points and my test dropped like a rock since I started. Depression. Demoralization. Defeat. That’s how I feel.
But on the weekends? Complete opposite. I spring back to life. I love life. The freedom of being able to wake up and choose what to do overtakes the negativity of the week.
Until Sunday evening then it’s back to the delta of hell.
I pray that I’m able to escape before I die.
I’m sitting here in my mid-20s like “I can’t wait until I’m 65.”
Sad as FUK brah.

What you are describing is basically the linear progression of any type of job or business for that matter. As you gain more responsibility and progress, you need to become a master delegator. As you typically climb the ladder, you make more money and work less than your plebian underlings.
I also disagree that you need a degree to do any of those things. Like I said it is more like a coping mechanism because they also spent a ton of money to go to college and they think you should too
Here is the big secret. After your entry level years, If you are intelligent and well spoken and interview well. They don't even ask you about your education level. They just assume it at that point, especially if you carry yourself well.
