Where would you live if you could own 2 homes? (100% srs)

Me:

Alaska for 3-4 months of the year (most hnnngh summer destination, sunset at 10pm, more than half the US national parks are in Alaska, most beautiful state by far)

Maui for 8-9 months of the year when Alaska gets too cold:

What would you brahs pick?

That sounds pretty perfect to me too. Alaska is so beautiful and so is Hawaii. I'd love to spend summers somewhere it's warm but not too hot and no humidity.

I have to agree with Maui. It's definitely one of the nicest places I've ever been. Second place would be in Patagonia

In addition to my own native country...

I would have a hard time choosing between somewhere in Canada (if not Toronto proper - not the GTA, but Toronto proper; or if not Toronto then either Montreal, Quebec City, or somewhere in Nova Scotia - either on Cape Breton Island or in Halifax, proper) or Scotland. As far as Scotland is concerned...really not sure. It could be Edinburgh or Glasgow or somewhere in the Highlands or even the Hebrides (either Inner OR Outer).

Central or Eastern Europe, despite my interest in them, would be too much of a stretch, I think. A growing and learning experience, for sure, but I honestly don't know that I have what it takes to have a 2nd home in any of those places. I might get schizoid/dissociative or something, just because language, distance from home, etc.

Funny you bring this up, I'll be in this situation in like 8 years. Gonna keep my house in Maryland because my kids live here and Maryland is one of the GOAT states and the west coast of Florida. But not too far North because anywhere near the panhandle is ruby red and that's no bueno.

I have a during the week house and a weekend lake house. Within an hour of each other and in the same state, but way different. When I retire I’ll sell both and move to mountains in TN or upper AZ.
