Duckliver, MrBourbon (he still here?), other professional or hobby chefs

Recommend me a reasonably priced stainless set of pots and pans. $300ish or so.

non-stick stuff sucks. yeah its easy to clean but can't cook as hot as stainless and wears out pretty quick and now you are cooking with pans that are flaking off little black bits into your food.

and carbon steel out of my price range.

Why do you need a set? Just get like 2 pans (frying and sauté) and call it a day

It’s the same with knifes, I bought two good ones and just use them. I have no need for a chopping block full of steak knifes and a bunch of random ones

Demeyre
Made in Belgium
Buy individually don't buy a set
Spend money on a good saucier and skillets, don't spend much on saucepans

Honestly, you can spend hundrends upon hundreds for really good cookware. For the 300 range, you aren't beating this set at that price point. (get it from a different seller, this one has bad reviews. few bucks more only)

https://www.amazon.com/Calphalon-202...2-8997e41410bb

Credentials: My wife cooks a lot, I bought her this set and she uses it more than the top shelf copper set I got her. They feel very solid, handles dont get hot fast and they're not too hard to clean with some bartender helper or something else for stainless.
