I don't know that there's anything other than in hindsight that can identify a likely suicide victim but if you're ever on the edge, if you ever even think seriously about taking your own life, you have to call the right people. I myself have called the suicide hotline twice. They will spend as long on the phone with you as you need and direct you to the people that will save your life.
