It's crazy and frustrating how much training focus affects performance

I've recently started focusing on more functional training like HIIT, boxing, CrossFit style workouts (no homo), calesthenics, etc. and it's amazing to me how much this tweak in my programming has dramatically affected my classical lifting workouts.

I've noticed the following:
- Weaker at maximum lifts, little to no upward progress if not outright drops in max lifts (very rarely ever did 1RM anyway, usually max out on 2-3RM)
- More explosive at the bottom of lifts-- off the floor for DL, off the chest for bench, out of the fold for squat
- Less staying power on long lifts, for example when pulling DL, it used to be that if I got it off the floor, I could grind it out and get it to the top, but now I've noticed I can fail at the knees for example which almost never happened to me before.

FUARK brahs I thought I wanted to be a fit brah but now I'm not sure. Any tips on programming so my lifts don't become pathetic but I can still be a shredded kunt?

Can't have it all, boyo, that's why fighters don't look like bodybuilders (except the roid heads)

From my experience proper kickboxing workouts, including sparring are a whole different level of exhaustion than doing heavy lifting. You burn so many kcal just from that alone. Then add in lifting (if you can even make it recovery wise without juice) and you basically have to force feed yourself 24/7 to gain any kind of significant mass.

tl, dr: dunno, lmk if you figure it out.

Yeah this is exactly it isn't it. I don't mind it that much tbh, I'm just interested if others have experienced and counter-balanced similar things. I was thinking of changing my strength programming from bro splits to upper/lower or push/pull because I think the primary issue is that I'm just not as consistent with strength training when I introduce so much functional/calesthenics/etc.

Kind of over pure bodybuilding anyway which is what started this whole "functional" kick in the first place.

If you're doing all of that stuff, your muscles are probably fatigued. They're less well rested than usual therefore you can't get as much strength out of them when you lift

Either that or you're losing some muscle from the cardio you're gaining. There's trade-offs

Welcome to the dark side brah. Traditional lifting definitely starts to suffer after you start doing real functional chit. Even bjj just 3 days a week makes it really hard for me to get in even two lifting days a week, and even those are never at max strength, more about consistency and (really) slowly building strength. Trade-off for sure.
