Living for eternity is likely more terrifying than most will realize. How would you perceive time passing after a certain point? What does that mean if the universe expands to a point where we see nothing but black? Will you eventually be an immortal husk floating in nothingness with only your thoughts?

Death can just be simplified as an eternal rest, there might be far more than we realize past that as well. I don't know if I'd like eternal life, but a few hundred more years of life maybe.

Depends if existing for eternity means when the world dies you'll be still alive and unable to get anywhere, floating through space alive but alone in silence and darkness.

Ceasing to exist would be no big deal because you wouldn't even be aware it happened.
