Will probably be me. I don't mind. I still feel and my mentality is that of early 20's. I still need more time to settle down and find my true north.

40 year old brah with 2 young kids checking in.
Would not recommend having kids past 40. Hell, even past 35 is pushing it.
It's not the energy levels, it's that you grow accustomed to a certain way of life and it starts to become cemented, and kids really disrupt that. You also have much less patience and are a lot more jaded. It's just not a good thing for the kids.
I would have been a much better dad at 30 than 40. At 40, I'm so into my career, routine, and other responsibilities that it's hard to keep up.

became a dad at 43, best thing i ever did
i did so many things i wanted to do and now i get to share those things with and enjoy them through the eyes of my son and give him the benefit of my experience ....

I'm good on kids. Too expensive to raise, and i like peace and quiet. I'll be the cool uncle for my friends kids, but i'm straight.
