Thats for you to find out my friend
If you really want to do something to find new direction you could go on a vision quest. Just post up in the woods alone for 4 days with no food.
Another way to do it is start journaling and writing down your thoughts and feelings. If you improve that skill you can use it figure out what you want in life and create a plan of action.
Or maybe you just need to accept you pretty much have no direction and are too fukked up to work that out. At that point just pick some goals to keep you busy.

assess your limits. knowing your weaknesses is a key part in determining what you are capable of. from this, you can explore your interests. find something youre good at and harness this power as the key to unlock the doors of possibilities

Realize who you are and what you've got. Work with it from there.
What's your career like? Social circle? Aesthetics/10? Genetics? Family situation?
Self improve on those things.
I'd say my career is 8/10. Social circle is 2/10. Aesthetics are 7/10. Genetics are 8/10. Family situation is 3/10.
Improve what you can, polish what you want, abandon/drop whomever or whatever is possibly dragging you down.
Your purpose should be to get those numbers as high as possible /10 to the best of your ability. If you have kids, then they're always the #1 priority no matter what though, and can help serve as your drive to get those numbers up.

I would say read into Buddhism, Taoism, Stoicism and Nihilism and theoretical physics/astral physics and you will be moving more in the right direction to finding purpose in life.
