Was on my break at work today so went to town, on my way this guy appears out of nowhere and completely catches me off guard.

Says Hi and ask if I can talk for a sec, it then clicked he’s one of the street sales people. Tried to get away saying ‘sorry mate in a rush’ then says c’mon will take two secs’

Me being polite just stopped, then he starts trying to get me to sign up to broadband/internet and am thinking ffs just fuk off.

Kept talking about some good deals and I tried to tell him I gotta go, eventually started walking off then says ‘I,ll follow you’ I told him straight no then he got the message.

Usually when I see these Charity or broadband people I walk other side of the street, walk fast and completely avoid eye contact but was caught off guard today.

Wasted 5 mins of my life. Couldn’t imagine doing a job like this where you harras the public 99% of the time JFL.

If I wanted to sign up to a new internet provider or donate to charity Id do it in my own time.

I either ignore them, say sorry gtg, troll them, or yell at them.

You're being too polite to them. I easily manage to dodge them within a few seconds every time.

you have to just about ignore their existence

cashier checkout donations are more annoying.

I do as well majority of the time, usually earbuds in, head down etc or I’ll accidentally make eye contact and just say ‘not today’.

Today I was caught off guard though plus this ****g0t was super pushy, clearly desperate for that commission bonus as that’s how most of them get there money.
