Almost anyone can develop schizophrenia
Idk the cause of schizophrenia, but I imagine that spending time alone can cause someone to hear voices and see apparitions.
I spent years alone in a room and in 2020, I started hearing voices. Sometimes I think that I see things and people out of the corner of my eye or even sometimes right in front of me.
I don't freak out usually and I just go lay down for a while and it goes away. I take some meds for it, but they really only make me feel numb and high, and don't seem to help that much.
The best thing I can do is stay calm and wait for the hallucinations to pass.
It's really uncomfortable.

Brah, I took meds for anxiety during a very difficult portion in my life where someone close to me passed away and it was honest to God the worst decision in my ****ing life... the side effects from the meds were ****ing brutal, I was sleeping for 12 hours a day on top of sleeping a whole nights sleep... so really was only awake for 3-4 hours a day. Until I said **** it and just worked on improving my life and eating right, not touching alcohol, exercising, getting sun/fresh air. Sure anyone can develop anything but how you handle it and how you're living is what could be the ultimate decider on how you let it effect you

I disagree. I've done every "high risk" activity that would induce chronic schizophrenia but didn't. Stay up for 2 weeks at a time and isolating on amphetamines, did that. I hallucinated and got paranoid but went back to normal after I slept and ate food.... Took massive doses of various psychedelics and came back. Seems genetic brah.

Everyone can potentially have a psychotic episode if the right conditions are met, but temporary psychosis =/= schizophrenia.
