Life only goes by fast if you're enjoying it, if your life sucks, it goes by slow as fuk. So be thankful if life is just passing you by.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Time always moves at the same rate, it's the relationship to the life you've lived and the time you have left that changes.
I think most people stuck in the 9-5 grind would argue life goes faster for them. So much time wasted building another man's wealth, that you look up and you're halfway to the grave b4 you know it. Building another man's dream instead of living your own. Sad!

It's why old people talk about how short life is even though they have been here for so long.
When you were 12 years old, 4 years was 33% of your life, 3 years was 25%. You can only probably really remember 9-10 years and so that was so long ago. Plust so much changes during that time for you. 3-4 years is a really long time. FF to adulting. Not much changes over the years and now at age 30 3 years is 10% of your life. You are up griding every day waiting for the next paycheck and weekend. Time flies. Elderly people will talk about 20 years ago like it just happened. They usually start to fall behind because it's just coming too fast.
Something I'm doing is trying to enjoy the moment. My puppy is helping. My dog Sara that died 1 year ago tomorrow, I swear she was a young dog, and then suddenly she was an old dog. Couldn't wait for her to become a mature dog, now I wish she never did. I had a GSD Heidi that I couldn't wait for her to mature and she got hit by a car, and I miss her. So my GSD puppy Ava, she's 7mo today and I spend every day doing something with her watching her grow. So I've had her 5 months now and it seems like a lot longer because of this. In my head I think she's a full gown dog and it's been forever but it hasn't. It really has helped. Try to find what makes days count for you before you run out.
