There was an absolute tragic story which hit my local community this week. Our local fire chief, a good man by all accounts, just lost his daughter, who was a 5th grader in a local school. I don't know all the details, but what I heard, she caught RSV and the Flu at the same time and her immune system could not fight it off. She was life flighted to CHOP in Philadelphia after Thanksgiving and passed early this week in the hospital after every attempt to save her. My one daughter spent time with her around Halloween at a "Hocus Pocus" party with another mutual friend, she said she was a very sweet girl.

I have two daughters, and this really hit me hard. I simply cannot imagine the pain and grief those parents and family are going through right now. Life can get us all down sometimes but remember to cherish those you love. I know stories like this exist everywhere, but it really hits you when it's this close to home.

Oh that is just awful. I can’t even fathom what they are going through. That poor family.
