How much to tip cashier at Target?

Was checking out at Target today and the cashier was mean mugging me for not leaving a tip and the screen prompted asking if I wanted to tip 8,10, or 12% or no tip.

Usually for Target it’s your state’s sales tax x2 unless service was exceptional, then add 10% more

I usually follow the same procedure as academic tipping for my professors

normally I would do 12% but the service was so horrible, putting 1-2 items only in each bag, asking too many questions.
