I wish you were right, but I know him in real life. He's dead serious lol.

He's incapable of taking advice. I just asked him what he thinks about these posts and he said "I do try their advice but it's mostly wrong". He gets super fixated on particular topics and he's very hard to engage with, especially online. In person he's actually a little better but in the end he still is fixated (and has been fixated) on the same topics for the last 7 years I've known him.
