How much going to gym affects testosterone?

How much going to gym affects testosterone? If someone who goes to the gym, has 700 ng/dl total testosterone, and then stops training. How much his levels would drop about?

There are many dietary, hereditary and environmental factors that affect testosterone more than whether or not you go to the gym.

What if I stop just training but otherwise I'll have similar diet (just a bit less protein) and same environment etc?

Speaking as the highest T member of the forum I think:

Sleep > Sun > Diet > Intense Exercise would be my order.

You won't see huge increase in test levels if you just half ass some workouts though. Especially for leg day. You've gotta be pushing hard during your sets, but consistently getting 7-9 hours of solid sleep is of utmost importance. I placed sun as #2 because getting ~30 minutes of sun 5-6x a week has helped me out a lot. I really believe you guys can boost your levels bye 20-30% (or more if youre VIt D deficient) by laying out or doing some yard work shirtless and in short shorts.

All of what I listed above is important. If you neglect any of them you are missing out on your full potential.

If you still remain active then you should be fine. If you stop then sit on the couch all day you’re fuked.

Can’t really get any sun exposure during the winter months the farther you are from the equator.

I swear it's always a lose-lose with the sun. Not getting sun lowers T and increases depression, but getting sun makes your face age and increases skin cancer risk.

Not by much. It can lower stress and boost confidence I think those can raise test but lifting itself probably only has a minimal affect.

Sleep helps test. So does not carrying extra weight

Actually I'm not worried, just interested. I just started going to gym already and wonder will it give me some testosterone boost. I measured almost 700 ng/dl total test when I didn't go to gym and sat on sofa all day without exercising anything almost at all for a long time.

Will sun be effective for testosterone if I already eat vitamin D supplement 100 ug/day?

Before T testing was common people just exercised without knowing.
Then when changes happened they began lifting again....without the number.

But the gym brah I hang out with in the locker room said sucking dink in the sauna raises test by 50%.

Are you saying it's the opposite?

I find this unsettling.

In all cereal, test levels cannot be raised or lowered much unless you're an absolute wreck. If you're moderately in shape, and get decent sleep, you might be able to move the needle 10-20%. Translation: You're not going to feel a difference.

Sorry to hear that bro. I'm down south and I'm able to catch some sun daily, even in December. It's been about 80/50 temp range down here for weeks now.

I really don't agree with this. Wife works at a derm and I've spoke with the doctors there about it multiple times. The amount of sun exposure that is healthy and sustainable will differ p2p. Because I'm mediterranean I already have an olive complexion and get a healthy glow pretty easy. I can sit out 4-5x per week at 30 min each time and hardly break a sweat. I've never burned and I do not have sun damage on my face. I can confirm this because at the derm they have a machine that'll show the amount of sun damage on your face. I've taken all of this into consideration and tailored sun exposure just like it'd be an exercise routine.

White bros will burn up much easier than I do. Even paler guys (pinkish complexion) will develop burns even easier than your typical white brah. This sort of damage is what (IMO) will cause sun cancer.

I take 5k/day every now and then and it is not nearly as effective as routine sun. I would do more research on supplemental vit D3 before taking high doses.

These are where my levels stand

High, but not too high, according to my doc.

About tree fiddy
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Wait what do you take 5k/day? 5k ug /day D-vit? This may be dumb Q but I'm tired. What type of foods you do love to eat?

Nah I take 5kIU if i can't get normal sun due to weather or something. It's usually pretty consistent down here, but to keep it simple - I only take if it i feel like i've been inconsistent.

red meat, eggs, egg white, tuna, salmon, whey

rice, potatoes, oats, rice cakes, berries, banana

whole milk, olive oil, butter, ghee

Keep it simple
