Overcoming the fear of failure, combined with persistence.
"Failing forward" is the best way to describe it. You're progressing forward, and not letting the possibility of failure circumvent your goals. If you fail, succeed next time. If your failure is permanent (failed too many Semesters in school and ineligible to continue the curriculum as an example), then simply figure out what you're going to do next instead and stick with it.
I think doing the above, combined with avoiding procrastination and doing things in a routine basis will pretty much always lead to success. Lean into your strengths, don't get too comfortable to where you're no longer growing, you'll get better and better.

First you have to define it.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."
