It’s the nitrate content. And yes.

Nitrates have some good data supporting blood flow but there are some drawbacks if you take too much. Stick to a few times a week and only pre workout

That kind of makes sense as it contains natural nitrate and other compounds which your body can convert to NO easily, having a vasodilatory effect. So it is possible it can lower BP and increase oxygen uptake etc. “too much” nitrate can be bad though so I wouldn’t get crazy with it.

Yes, been taking beet elite for like 6 years straight, I stack it with my pre workout. Increase nitric oxide drastically.

I’d have my clients who had hi blood pressure take it and it always brought it down

No. Very rarely but nothing to be alarmed about. Probably will when first start supplementing with it

I remember it used to be the main ingrediant in controlled labs white flood, then they changed the formula and took it out because people didn't like the flavor

Of taking “too much”? Can stimulate formation of N-nitroso compounds. Keep in mind you are already eating nitrates from other food sources. Especially if you eat a lot of processed foods and meats so it can all add up.

IIRC, Sagi Kalev recommends it.

I took it during my most effective workout stint ever. As a pre-workout & intra-workout. Seemed to do pretty good by me.

It is supposed to be a really great overall blood-builder.

It's hard to go wrong with R.W. Knudsen or Lakewood juice brands. One or both have organic options, although they are not cheap. But beet juice is, as a general rule, not cheap.

I think that the following is the product I was taking back in 2014, but I think the labelling has changed. They have (or had) two varieties. One has/had a green-accented label, and one has/had a yellow-accented label.

That's the one I was taking. Also has B-12 which is great for vegetarians. The yellow one has passion flower, which, IIRC, tasted disgusting. Not sure that would be very good for pre-workout because passionflower can help put you to sleep. There is one other variety I've never seen before - with cherry. Probably tastes pretty good.

I use powder in my pre workout smoothies. Pumps and vascularity of peace. Also think it helps my cardio. Would recommend.

Bump. About to head to the store to get organic Beet juice. Been so ticked off lately, stressed. Plus, a good extra pump for my fap sessions will be great.
