Self checkout scam

Another reason to not use self checkouts.

Someone will grab a gift card, then scan it, then leave the register, leaving the transaction open. Then the next person will start scanning their items, not realizing a gift card charge is already on there, then pay fpr it all without really looking.

Self checkouts reset if not used with a few minutes here

The real scam is the cost of everything going up to counteract the self checkout fraud
