For those who call football (soccer) players pussies for diving

Not even a huge fan of the sport, but the reasoning is obvious

It's not a full contact sport, so if someone shoulder barges you (without touching the ball) and this causes you to lose balance, it only makes sense to take the dive and win a foul

Instead of likely losing possession over an illegal move

Yeah sometimes they do go OTT diva mode but it's dumb to not understand this srs

Are you really sticking up for a player flopping around on the field after someone steps on their toe?

Yea some of these players go overboard for sure.
Same thing in the NBA now, you get called for fouls even though there's 0 contacts on the replay OR literally grazing someone's arm get your a foul.

And that's one of the reasons basketball sucks nowadays.

Did you see the guys from the 90s, acting like any of the current players?

Then change the rules.

I also hate how they do this in the NBA for the same reasons.

I don't watch soccer, nor the NBA.

So why should I even care? Lmao.

Soccer players in 6th grade don't act like soccer players in the pro league, they just play the game.

It's a fairly ridiculous aspect of the sport that has become part of its core strategy. Whether that's good or bad isn't for me to say, but it's not about being a pussy or weak, it's a tactic that everyone uses.

Serie A was to blame for it-saw it all the time in the 1990's. It spread to other countries as they ventured to France, Spain etc & we also started importing all these babies to the Premier League. Look at this AC Milan clown, even doing it when a fan barely touched him.
