Serious lifters gyms are much worse than the fitness planets types (srs)

So recently i switched to a gym near my new apartment, alot of people there complete semi-pro, alot of giants, alot of juicing, etc.
My last gym was a fitness planet type, which i thought isnt the type of gym you want to workout in. i was wrong.

Serious lifters gyms are the WORSE. and its not even close.

-brb every 1 out of 3/4 people come in with a tripod. ghey af

-brb everywhere you look you see some ghey dudes filming each other while doing their set, every set, from 50 angles, super close (also ghey). alot of time while doing a set i notice im in the frame, what if i dont want to be in their ghey story?

-brb everyone is so selfish. superseeting 6 dumbbels & 3 machines, brb putting their towel on the bench to "own it" while going to take a chit for 20 mins, etc. this one is the worst. i constantly have arguments with people there over this. most wont even let you to work with the them on the same machine. everyone there thinks they are arnold and that THEIR workout is the only thing that matters.

-brb at any given times there is at least 20 dudes posing to the mirror, alot of them shirtless, trying to take a pic with a good angle on their abs, etc. ghey af.

-brb juicing in the locker room. disgusting af.

The gym culture is so odd now it's like whatever it was intended to be doesn't exist anymore

Planet fitness was probably the best gym I've been to in the last 10 years

I assume it varies greatly. The one "serious one" I went to back in the day was awesome, but a huge part of that was due to the fact that it was never crowded. This was also early 2000s before all of this Instagram/whatever ****otry.

Hardcore bodybuilders, and powerlifters maybe even more so, are widely known to be total self-•absorbed kunts. The freaks like that are precisely why fitness planet type gyms are a thing in the first place, so people can avoid that crap.

Workout from home crew for me these days. I don't care that it's not a fully loaded gym. It's worth avoiding all the bs of gyms.

Also, go talk to the powerlifters on their sub sometime. Some of the most stuckup pricks you'll ever find. Not sure what the big surprise is that they're even worse when grouping and circle jerking each other at their "powerlifting gym" places.

Don't forget the constant screaming/grunting/snorting, the "COME ON MAN, ONE MORE YOU GOT IT!!!" bullchit, etc.

lmao had this happen last year when a woman "booked" 3 machines in advance. Not even supersetting, just booked so nobody else would use it after she finished with another equipment. I just took the towel and hung it on a different machine. Most people are too shy to confront. She did and I told her the gym is busy, you can't book all the machines for an hour and just finished my sets. Resident PT's should be telling clients that this is the most retarded thing to do next to not putting your weights away and leaving sweaty jooce on the seats.

Gym culture in itself is super cringy and people make it their entire identity. BRB nothing but fitness meme t-shirts, bringing a giant duffel bag of supplements, chalk, accessories.

Health and Fitness is super important but ones entire persona shouldn't be based around it.

What's wrong with chalk and accessories? Hell, I bring my own Pull-down bar to the gym on back day.

And people actually lifted. But I'm sure the loud noises are triggering to the zoomers who live at home with mommy, so they're more comfortable working out at PF.......
