They're wagies, not tradies

They don't build anything, nor is their work skilled

No, trades require skill, which is why they're called skilled trades. It takes no skill and only 2 hours of training to be a security guard.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

An old friend of mine is a security guard at a power plant . He doesn't make great money but he doesn't really live a crazy lifestyle so the pay isn't a big issue. Sometimes I am a little jealous because he seems content with doing jack **** and having a really cushy job, even if it's not a glamours career.

In CA, security guards make like $1 above minimum wage.
The highest they can make is $5 above minimum wage give or take.

Tradies, make above that.

One of my first jobs was as a security job in a warehouse, wanted to blow my brains out. We were like overseers in a cotton field. Still slaves, still stuck in a warehouse, only I was watching not handling product. Security guards aren't tradies but do share some qualities, gonna meet lots of dummies working either

When people talk about security. It's assumed it's lowly mall cop type scenario, the guy guarding the CVS, Walmart, McDick's.

Not the same guy who has duties similar to guarding an armored vehicle.

We have security in our apartments. At least this one drives around in a car. Our prior one was a minimum wage dude walking around on foot lol as good as having no security at that point since our complex is huge.
