Considering ditching Football fandom for Soccer(srs) How do I start?

Big football fan my whole life. The commercials are unbearable now. I cannot watch a game anymore unless the stakes are high. It's fun in person but the tickets are offensive and only worthwhile if tickets are good.

Baseball is a shell of what it used to be. Too many pitching changes, pitchers taking forever, batters stepping out of the box and readjusting batting gloves between every pitch, the obsessive compulsiveness of the players has ruined the flow. Add in all the three true outcome hitters and I sort of can't watch it anymore (playoffs are GOAT though). Baseball is very fun in person though.

I make fun of soccer all the time, but I genuinely enjoyed watching the WC this year. Love how there are no commercials and the games are over relatively quickly.

MLS seems ghey AF, so don't want to watch it. The premier league and other euro teams confuse the hell out of me. Champions league confuses me. I don't know where to begin, who to watch...or if I should just wait 4 more years to watch again the WC. Is it even worth it to start?

What does the MISC eurotrash crew suggest (srs post).

Lots of different leagues with different styles. Pick a team, and follow them. That's what I did, and there's good local communities (depends on what city you live in though)

German, Italian, French, Spanish or English league. Are there names that you like or styles you prefer watching?

Champions league is all the European leagues playing for the cup instead of just those in their separate league. Not too confusing brah

I think the English Premier League would be the easiest to follow in terms of language & competitiveness. Easy point system with play offs where every twice plays eachother twice. Very easy.

If you follow that & the Champions League which is the European cup consisting of the 4-5 best teams from all the top leagues in Europe you are well on your way.

Premier League and Bundesliga are very entertaining. Also you have the UEFA Champions League that resumes in February one of the juicy matchups is PSG with (Messi Mbappe Neymar) vs Bayern Munich(Best team in Germany).

I would start with Premier League other leagues still have a winter break. The English Premier League resumes on Dec 26th, and they will play a lot of games through the new years...teams playing a game every other 3 days or so. So I'd start with that.

Here is a schedule you can check out as you can see many games through the new year almost every day from the 26th

Stop trying to resist your constant urge to smoke polls and just accept who you are as a person. Boom, you're officially a soccer fan.
