It does not work because social life is part of our experience, and asocial tricks to find equanimity without harmony with others only works while you're isolated.

I actually bought a Buddha statue and researched it a bit. I’m open to a lot including Wicca. Seems real. Like the Nordic people did all sorts of Wiccan magic and believed in earthly energies. I like it. Seems more possible too tbh I’ve actually made it rain by listening to a certain song. I even did it in a cotton field surrounded by really religious baptist guys. They laughed when I told them what would happen. When it did they freaked out. A dude asked me wtf am I? I also was chanting some devil worshiping book once in the library. I got loud as hell like Hitler and started chanting these devil spells and then thunder shook the entire building and knocked the power out. There was no rain in the forecast. Could have been a coincidence but some chick witnessed it and used to gang out with me on the campus all the time. It’s like my imagination takes over and I go to memory land it something. Like it could be 100 degrees but if a song or smell reminds me of a cold day I will become freezing and so will my surroundings. I always wondered if we really live in sone sort of imagination world thst we can’t see. Like our energies are in levels of human in understanding. Sounds wild but think about it. What is life or death

Read the Bardo Thodol and start mindfulness meditation and recite "Aum" morning, noon, and night

Make sure you do full body stretching and diaphragmatic breathing before you meditate

"My outer appearance was poor, but in this way my inner world became richer than anyone else's. Was it not natural that a young boy who suffered from an indelible drawback like mine should have come to think that he was a secretly chosen being? I felt as though somewhere in this world a mission awaited me of which I myself still knew nothing." --Yukio Mishima
