i read half of it and it is dull asf. ****ggot holden does nothing so far except hit on 5/10 sloots and cry about his brother dying. just lol. does it get better?

If we're talking classics, I've read them all, some 3 or 4 times, those are great reads.

Steinbeck is my favorite. The Pearl is a masterpiece, Steinbeck's education is pretty grainy so we'll never know if he was actually educated on early Greek writings but the story follows early Ironic work. It's something of a common theme, Gift of The Magi, The Brass Teapot and Hurley in LOST are more recent examples.

I'm not a smart Man but I would attribute the genesis of that concept to the ancient Greek playwright Sophocles in his play "The School For Wives."

Oddly enough, that play is where he created the term "Cuckold" which you guys throw around so much. He was born 500 years before Christ.

I think The Running Man is one of them, he called it "the game" I think, haven't read them in 20 years I dunno lol
