Went on a plane through the 'bombcylcone' that hit the us yesterday AMA

it was sheeer chit show. I flew from houston to austin then to el paso

brb stuck at the airport for 12 hours in austin.

brb cancellations and delays then more cancellations.

brb didn't board my plane till 11:40PM. I've been at airports since 9am

Every time a cancellation happened Mob mentality kicked in and people said "FUK YOU MTHER FUKER YOU COULD HAVE SAID THIS 2 HOURS AGO"

brb 300 pieces of luggage went missing.

brb airport staff couldn't go home until the last flight left 2am


The bars stayed open and everyone got drunk af at the airport. Literally falling everywhere walking around with beer or liquor in their hands


It was insane. Luckily Op got very lucky and made the flight with luggage. Can't speak for other people.


Literally the airline customer service said "If you can't make it your luggage will still go to the final destination, and you'll receive back in 5 days maybe"


It was like the end of times at an airport.

Honestly. it was my uncle pushing the dough. We got a hotel then canceled the hotel then my new flight got delayed 4 hours.

What was pure wtf

A plane arrived and was sitting there for people to board.

Oh yeah. So I made a deal with one of the bartenders because airports charge like 13-14 dollars a beer and 24 for a double shot of a drink. I asked the bartender if he had redbull and he was like "Grab me a redbull and i'll hook you up". I had 5 drinks and paid 10 dollars with a 15 dollar tip.

One bar was just serving people left and right. Some drunken hbb were at the bar acting sloppy. Jersey shore sloppy.

Airport police were escorting people from the bathroom that were throwing up. I think one went to the hospital I had seen EMS pop with cops.

No one had seen it coming and people were drinking with lunch but when the cancelations happened. That's when it went hardcore.

Yes in times like these. They literally had almost zero security. People were drinking on the stairs sitting down. On the floor. All the seats filled.

Even the mask wearers got so drunk they said fuk it and took off their mask to down their liquors. Quite a time to be alive.
