So glad I don’t hear about NFTs anymore

I never bought any, but I was so sick of people around me talking about converting this and that to an NFT, yatta yatta. Not to mention the sheer amount of secondhand embarrassment I felt when people just brought it up out of nowhere.

I have a vivid memory of seeing a video where NFT holders who spent thousands were invited to a party to “network.” And their JPEGs were hung up like tapestries to decorate the place. I thought that was kind of cringe.

Hope the misc had a great Christmas, this was just a random thought I had. Sometimes I don’t share these. If you like them, no hate, my dude. I just don’t. Anyway, cheers!

I wish I could find the thread from earlier this year where a Miscer was lecturing us on how to tell real wealth from fake wealth and the biggest sign that someone had true wealth was that they owned a number of high quality NFTs.

Hi Legz!!!!! Oh wow, was so excited to give you green greens but then I realized I can’t. Man.. one day. I had a great holiday! Visiting my grandfather now and I missed him slaughtering chickens by a week or so. That would’ve been a core memory

Hope you’re not getting the full brunt of this snowstorm

So glad you had a great holiday and nice at visiting your grandfather! I would have been very happy to miss the slaughtering! lol

No snowstorm here. We had record breaking low temps Friday and Sat but now it's going back up again thank goodness.

Agreed, but it might be a while. NFTs were the final full retard outcome of 13 years of zero interest rates and huge quantitative easing. There was just nowhere for all this money to go. House prices doubled, share prices tripled, imaginary currency grew 10x. But still there was more money flooding into the system that had to go somewhere and (because of no interest rates) it couldn't go into savings. So the endpoint was people smugly paying millions of dollars for digital pictures of cartoon monkeys.

Hahahahaha. That’s good, temperatures are coming back up here too. Not really saying much since it’s still below freezing but it’s a start! I’m always nervous about driving on ice, actually would prefer to never do it because I never think my life is worth wherever I’m going
