Credit card churning miscers?

Anybody here a credit card churner?

Had my CSP for 3 years now, earn about $500 in points per year so realized I needed a better card so opened Venture X yesterday. Auto approved 30k like a boss.

Makes me wonder if I should leverage my credit more and open some other cards for welcome offers?

Hate Wells Fargo for closing my oldest credit card for no reason years back... Should I open some with them get the rewards and close them right after? Get some payback?

No point in churning, just get the BofA red and black cards and the rewards from every other card look poverty.

Brb 5.25% off online purchases (which includes almost everything, including gym memberships, Apple Pay or square cash registers, paying property taxes, etc), 3.5% back at restaurants and grocery stores, 3.5% back on “travel” (which actually is a ridiculously broad category that includes almost everything), 2.3% cashback on all other purchases

I think the black card has a $100 fee, but you get $100 back if you buy any sort of airline travel, which effectively makes it free (srs) not to mention the $500 sign up bonus

Looks like to get those % you have to have serious levels of cash held with BofA. Thought it sounded too good to be true.

Used to bounce between the Capital one venture and Chase Sapphire. Nice trips for free, did it a couple times each before they wised up.

Now have the Marriott Bonvoy, racking up the them points, got 100k bonus points and always stay at nice hotels.

Credit score 800+

I signed up for Chase's freedom unlimited card. $300 bonus when you spend 1k or more in the first 4 or so months, 5% back on groceries and fuel for the first 12 months, then goes down to 3%. I also have a united club card, I forget which tier as I'm currently using the unlimited card, but it's only $49 annual fee but I've made like $1k in points from it with less than two years of ownership. Including sign up bonuses. Plus I get two free club passes each year, so I can stuff my face and relax in their lounge on layovers.

This thread pops up from time to time and it’s always interesting.

I’m not so much a churner but have been on a kick with Chase cards now that I’m with Hyatt since they’re a transfer partner. I’ve accumulated quite a few points so it’s nice being able to get expensive hotel rooms for nothing. Don’t need the flights so it all goes to hotels.
