Strong this. I never talked so vile in my life, until my short time as a tradie. If you're sensitive or can't deal with outside weather you won't last long. The money to be made in trades is insane, but the people who you work with and having to be in the outdoor climate fukking sucks. It should never be a longterm solution for a career, unless you plan to run your own company or something. Not gonna make it

My first tradie job was temp labourer brb carrying heavy ass materials and breaking and shovelling snow and ice for 8 hours.

Then I worked for an underground power line company. Brb carrying rolls of thick ass wire brb performing hot digs. Brb 10 hour days.

Now I have electrical experience as a first year lol

Also worked as a roofer doing sheathing all day. Income was 50k

Post pandemic I'm just taking it easy working retail and focusing on fitness!

My bro's in IT have never had an issue. Construction they will test only if you get injured on the job.
You said you are in IT...when have you been tested other than hire on?
