Movie Scenes That Make You Reflect On Your Life - 2022 Edition
It's that time of the year where we reflect about our lives. At least, those of us capable of that sort of introspection.
This year I find myself coming back to a scene from a while back. Great movie, too.

If you want to see a movie to reflect on your life, maybe go to Gaza and record what you see on your phone. That's what you support, kid.

Not one scene but the overall plot and character development of the new Avatar made me do some reflection and think back to how I handled that part of my life that the characters were struggling with. Family, your place in the family, feeling like at times you don't belong or are an outsider (I'm adopted). Reminded me of my teen self and the times when I fell in love and had young crushes. Being the older brother it also made me think about how I tried to protect, teach, and also annoy my younger brother.

We go for motorcycle rides in Germany, chop wood if I'm here for the summer. Wifey brings me out an ice cold beer and 'mettbrot' - nice and salty. Her parents are my friends - I never thought this could happen, as I had always clashed with my gf's parents in the past. *Always*.

Life can be stressful, and sometimes it is fun to unwind with something mindless. But I love a good drama.

The folks giving their lives to their careers might face a big issue in their final moments;
Good man? Good husband? Good father? Good friend? Etc.
Never "I should have worked more hours".

I relate a lot to this scene. The feeling of being out of place and that you just don't belong or fit in, and that the years have passed and it is too late for you to find meaning.
