Why are cornerbacks so bad at catching footballs? (srs)

The countless times I'll see a wide open interception opportunity where the ball literally falls into the cornerbacks hands and they drop the pass. And worse, is how they'll laugh it off with the other players and congratulate him for just being there near the ball. Meanwhile, a 5 year old could've caught that ball.

This. Every level of football I ever played the ones that had **** hands got demoted to cornerback.
