Yeah its cool fukking off playing PS5 and doing house work on the clock but it is also very unfulfilling.

BRB, opening a Word doc, setting font to 2 and putting a battery on the 0 key so my Microsoft Teams status stays as available all day while I **** off. Hopefully things are still this slow when I buy my house so I have plenty of time to work on it.

WFH is great. I've sent 2 emails today and did about 30 minutes of actual work. The rest of my time I've been MISCing and jerking off to pr0n.

it's still kinda mind boggling to think some decent paying office jobs require so little actual work

also easy to lose all sort of ambition when you realise this though (but not sure if that's a bad thing or not if you got other stuff going for you in life)

I would say there are probably 3 categories of worker which were identified as a result of WFH:

1) the workers who were never productive to begin with. If you have a reputation in a large firm for being a guy that can “manage people out the door” (I.e. boot the underperformers) you get these people cycling through your teams.

2) people that have some productivity while in the office (perhaps because their options for slacking off were more limited) and once they were “working from home” their output reduced to near zero. Same response as 1) above

3) people that were driven and productive. Their output remained the same or even increased as a result of wfh. With some of them you have to message them at night to tell them to log off.

Guess which ones management hold onto in the long run?

Imagine building the infrastructure to a room
And building a, at least, semi-permanent structure people are going to use a lot

And or the lighting or outlets they're going to use to power the room or potentially life saving equipment

I’m definitely #3 but now we are back in the office on a hybrid model.

I love getting up I early, drinking coffee and commuting. It’s relaxing and makes my day fulfilling. Can’t imagine rotting at home, developing social anxiety and losing sense of self awareness.

Commuting used to be the absolute worst part of my day. Then again, I live in the south and it's mostly 49 IQ physicists and bubbas driving 90mph weaving through traffic that is moving at 15mph.

Wfh crew (though I’ll be going back once a week at least at some point soon which I’m good with).

Interface with another agency failed today. Hundreds of transactions that needed to manually reprocessed bc the ****** fixer at the other agency was off, no backup. Tons of extra work for my whole team, all hands on deck. Of course my whole team means like 4 of 18 of us because most workers are incompetent requiring me as the lead me doing work way beneath what they pay me for. No breaks. No lunch (plannerd to lift on lunch, had to after work day), worked 9.5 hours on what I thought was chill Friday.


Wfh is usually awesome but if you’re a performer it still sucks if chit hits the fan
