I used to jfl when obese people would tell me I drink to much. "Tell me more at the top of these stairs". Regardless drink is bad. Pills are bad unless actually required for genuine medical reasons. Only take the ritalin doctors give me because eca stack is impossible to get now.

You don't need drugs to experience those things. Most performers use drugs to combat the emptiness they feel within their souls.

No idea where you're going with this

Because an "expert" Dr told you that you need these drugs. Its easier for them and makes them money.
Honestly would rather be a raging alcoholic instead of obese based on the studies I've read

Both are bad. I had a bad binge drinking issue. Luckily my health is fine. But I don’t drink anymore and I try to stay away from pills/medicine if I can help it. Mental clarity through the roof.

Looking back, withdrawal is really scary. As a binge drinker you learn how to handle it and function and how bad it will be if you drink X amount but the effect it has on your body is insane. Absolutely insane. I understand why some would continue to drink to never get to those symptoms which is why it’s a slow death

Never looking back. Never want to go through that again. Most substances the thought that you could pass out and never wake up, no thanks man.

It’s not.

Alcoholics pride themselves sometimes on the fact they aren’t “drug addicts”

But they are the very definition of a drug addict.

I used to watch that show Intervention all the time when it was on, and one thing I noticed at least in my opinion was the alcoholics on it were always the worst ones, and I'm saying this as someone who drinks a good amount.

The ones addicted to H, pills, meth etc were pretty bad, but the ones on H would just get high, and then fall asleep lmao. The Alcoholics were a different breed, and it obviously doesn't help that it's legal, and you can get it anytime or if so desperate you turn to mouth wash or hand sanitizer. Check these 2 vids out pretty sad it's now to function, and not even drinking for fun. Def some unresolved trauma, but damn that dependence is a bitch.

I made a joke to some alchies I work with where I said "How many addies do you think she had to pop to make it 32+ hours straight at this hellhole lol". The guys responded by explaining how "they've never done and never will do any drugs, so they wouldn't know", the whole priding themselves on not being drug addicts trope. Meanwhile they've spent the last 2 - 3 decades of their lives getting drunk probably weekly at a bare minimum, drink at least some alcohol 4+ nights a week, and still consider it non-optional that they must drink at most social events they involve themselves in.

brb they pride themselves on not bring degenerate drug addicts
brb they down gallons of alcohol every week

In college they would sometimes come over, and I'd be chilling drinking beers already pretty buzzed on the couch watching TV. They would be like omg you're already drinking? I would respond yeah...

They were the types at the time to think its "weird" or you're a "loser" if you drink alone at home. I told them to try it sometime, and my friend one time texted me when she was at class that he was drinking some beers watching soccer, and it wasn't so bad.

I think some people automatically assume that if someone drinks alone at home they act exactly like those 2 intervention vids I just posted lol.

Some people can just chill on some brewskis watch a game listen to some tunes do some chores.. work on their car or whatever they like to do...get drunk and have a good time, and not fall down the stairs and chit or pass out on the floor.

Fuking hell, at the point of falling over drunk and still trying to get more booze then saying you are not drunk to a camera. There cannot be any way that being in that state is fun, any positive feelings from alcohol are long gone by that point.

Alcohol has been around for thousands of years. Sure some people dont deal with it well but the vast majority of them do.

Pills have been around a very short time in out time line, like 100 or 200 years.

They are made in a laboratory but people whos sole purpose is profit. many of them are made to specifically be addictive so you will always need more and more.

best to stay well clear of them unless you absolutely have to use them and even then it should be for the shortest time possible.

Its like gambling. If you go and you win right away, you succeeded, cash out and go home. The mission objective has been completed. to stay and start losing and then chase the losses is what happens though.

It's not. Both are mind altering substances to alter the chemistry of the body/mind. Some people stupidly decide to combine the two. People just view pills as the lesser aggressor because virtually everyone is on pills whereas not EVERYONE is consistently drinking on a daily basis, except the Misc.

I drank too much in my mid 20s. The two Intervention episodes which they no longer show and you have to go to dailymotion to see were Lawrence and Bret.

Lawrence died at 34 from eso****eal bleeding and had full blown cirrhosis. Drank 3 full mugs of straight vodka a day and claimed he only had a few drinks so it was no big deal. Had seizures if he didn’t drink, bruises all over his body. Very sad.

Bret was a dad from Tampa that seemed like a great guy at heart. Divorced over alcohol and the damage it was causing his kids. Always invented excuses why he couldn’t make a softball game bc he had to go get drunk. Threw up blood. Refused rehab and walked all the way home with his kids and family crying and screaming at him. Went to rehab and was 90 days sober. Diagnosed with advanced eso****eal cancer at 42. Dead a month later.

I’m dealing with this now with a friend who is 34 and jaundiced and swollen. I warned him of the exact 2 stories years ago and he didn’t want to hear it or understand that it was reality of how young it can happen if you do this nightly like he was doing.

Anybody that knows somebody who is young and drinks to the level of alcoholic needs to show them these. As I said they’re basically banned from AE and are never shown anywhere but they should wake anybody up to how quickly you can have your body fail from alcohol.

Lawrence was the first ever death on Intervention

Bret was the 2nd
