Vincent Price made seven movies from the works of Edgar Allan Poe in the 1960s. I watched “The Pit and the Pendulum” when I was a little kid, and it kept me up that night.

Was that the one where the guy was chained to the wall, and he built another brick wall in front of him, essentially burying him alive?

He was so great in all of them.

The House of Usher (1960), The Pit and the Pendulum (1961), Tales of Terror (1962), The Comedy of Terrors (1963), The Raven (1963), The Masque of the Red Death (1964), and The Tomb of Ligeia (1964).

That was The Cask of Amontillado. Great revenge story. Got one of his his enemies drunk and convinced him to follow him around in some catacombs and got to guy to wall himself into a dungeon. Guy was wasted and didn't even realize he was burying himself.

Classic Poe. The madness of the character while he talks to the cops all outwardly calm but inside starting to come unglued
