Are there no student loans or other types of loans set up for this? Pilots are in high demand iirc, you'd think the government would have programs in place
HELOC is a revolving line of credit, not really a loan per se. You don't need to secure a line of credit if you otherwise qualify, but my one unsecured credit line right now that is high af like 10% interest

those schools will happily connect you to a student loan provider which will provide you with the funds that are non-dischargable in bankruptcy

My credit line max is $90k right now but you won't get approved for an $80k credit line without high income already, you need an actual loan

Don't have any debt to begin with. A lot of it is based on what loans you already have, for two reasons - firstly because you can't pay back as much if you've already got loans and secondly because if you've not been keeping up with those repayments you're probably never going to have 80k thrown your way.

personal loans are like 10k not 80k and the interest rate is high as fuk on them if they arent secured with collateral.
theyre basically if you are in an emergency and dont want to put it on your credit card because they should still be lower than CC interest rates
you need a student loan OP.
if they dont do student loans for pilots then go in the air force and get paid to be trained

Instead, consider exploring other options for financing your pilot training. Here are some alternatives you can consider:
Apply for a personal loan: While personal loans may come with higher interest rates, they can be a better option than maxing out your credit cards. Look for lenders that specialize in financing education and training programs.
Apply for a student loan: Some flight schools offer financing options through student loan programs. These loans often come with lower interest rates and flexible repayment terms.
Look for scholarships and grants: Many organizations and foundations offer scholarships and grants for aspiring pilots. Do some research and apply for as many as possible.
Save up and pay in installments: While it may take longer to start your training, saving up and paying in installments can help you avoid debt and financial strain in the long run.
Remember, becoming a pilot is a long-term goal, and it's important to approach it with a responsible and sustainable financial plan. I wish you the best of luck in finding a solution that works for you.
