ever ruptured your eardrum?
my old manager once stuck his finger too far into his ear and ruptured it. was pretty lulzy srs.
do they heal? and does it make you lose hearing permanently?

I blew mine when I botched a flip and landed awkwardly in the water at a rope swing when I was 15.
Two surgeries later and there's still a tear in the scar tissue. Can't go underwater more than a couple of feet without the water busting in. Muffled hearing and crazy ringing that hasn't gone away in 17 years.

Your ear canal has two bends so he must have tried pretty hard to get his finger in there.

For young kids >6 it’s not uncommon due to ear infection pressure and typically heals without issue. For older kids /adults it’s more likely to need repair / result in hearing loss.
