A shower in the morning helps wake me up and feels good, but it is task driven and intentional. Hygiene then out and on with the day.


Hot bath at night. Relax and get ready for bed. No rush. The work is done, at least for now.

I fuking hate showering. I have to spend forever putting lotion on after cuz otherwise I get ashy as fuk, & I've got nappy shoulder-length hair so shampoo/condition/combing's a bitch and a half. The whole process takes me 45 fuking minutes.

If you haven’t already, try the Dove soap that is like 1/4 moisturizer. Never have that problem anymore since I’ve been using that stuff. Skin isn’t dry and totally stripped when I get out.
