I tried them for decompression when my back was jacked up. I hated them...really hurt my knees, and if you do try them ever I would recommend making sure you have a bar or rope or something to assist you getting out of inversion unless you want to basically crucify yourself.

Getting in and then out of the hanging position feels like it would be a conceptual & dangerous nightmare.

I own a pair and use them with my rack's pull up bar.

As another poster said, make sure you have a backup way to get up, like a rope(hanging leg-raise straps work perfectly). I didn't do that the first time I used them and was stuck. Had to shimmy up the side of my rack. It was terrifying. srs.

I like them, but an inversion table is a safer bet.
