What is the point of the movie "Forrest Gump"

Ok so what's the message here, even if you're born disadvantaged you can still try hard and end up with a great life like Forrest.

But, it's a fictional story..?

I just don't get it, let's make up a story about a guy with 50 IQ succeeding in life, and getting taken advantage of by some whore.

The whole thing is made up so, what do I take from the film? None of this crap happens IRL.

Try hard and you'll succeed guys, see if Forrest did it you can too!

Jenny was molested and abused by her father or uncle and ended up being damaged because of it - she didn't think she was 'too good' for him, she didn't think anything of herself due to the abuse she suffered.

Forrest is an angel.

In the beginning, the feather coming from heaven represents his angelic power.

Forrest is not a "person" but like a force of unconditional love and inspiration to people.

No matter what happens, nothing and no one can stop Forrest and he helps people like Lieutenant Dan because no matter how angry the guy is, Forrest's unconditional love beat's Dan's anger.

The same thing goes for Jenny who is a Borderline Personality Disorder type who got abused by her dad. No matter what she does Forrest is there and she can't hurt his feelings and it's the only love she knows.

So, Forrest is a kind of Messiah that is under the radar. It's how he can be super good at sports, running, saving people in the war, and so on.

Once Forrest/Jenny's kid comes, Forrest's super powers come to an end and he is supposed to raise the kid, then his angel feather floats back up to heaven.

It's about boomers struggling to reconcile a bunch of stuff. They protested against the war, but being a war hero is kinda cool too. They look down on rural hicks, but they are kind of admirable too. The rooted around, but loyalty and true love is kinda cool too. Etc etc etc

Now if they could just invent an impossible fantasy character who somehow brought it all together ...

I don't know if Jenny was as bad as everyone thinks.

Her innocence was taken by her father and like most abused children, she spent her whole adult life reliving that trauma through sexual encounters with random men. This is a common thing with women who get involved in porn and chit, they subconsciously feel like reliving their childhood trauma over and over again somehow means what happened to them was ok.

She made the mistake of befriending the special needs kid and he latched onto her. When they grew up she made it clear she wanted him to stay away as to not lead him on, but he was persistent as fk. When she was exhausted from her party lifestyle and getting fked over by countless people she fled to the only place she ever felt safe, Forrest's house. She did him a favour by giving him some cunny and de-virginating the spastic but knew he'd latch on so once again had to flee.

Think about her story arc; molested as a child by her father, went on a drug and slooting spree to try and manage the pain and trauma, contracts AIDs and dies as a result. The only man who ever did right by her was a literal retard. Her story is a tragic one.

One of the most overrated movies of all time, because it makes zero sense. Dude born with an IQ of like 75 and a significant walking related disability becomes a successful businessmen, military member who saves multiple of his buddies single handedly carrying them on his back to safety in combat, a world class cross country runner, and family man who finally wins the sloot after she decides to use him for resources after her slooting gets her AIDs.

The entire movie is stupid due to how incredibly unrealistic everything is, yet it's sold as a realistic concept in the film. Just dumb.

Also, always blew my mind how everyone loved that sloot Jenny character so much. "ommmmmmgggg, I love love looooove Jennyyyyyyyyy!!!", a gay guy from work once said to me regarding the film. Then I asked him why she slooted and laughed at Forrest when it was actually game time for her to not be a fkn whore, she went out and slooted, had a bastard child, got AIDs, then tricked Forrest into becoming the step daddy and taking care of it with promises of being with her for it even though she knew she was gonna die soon from her AIDs she aquired from her slooting days at that point. She completely used Forrest throghout the film like a royally self-centered kunt. Then the gay guy I work with was like "Aw..... don't ruin Jenny for me...." Jenny was a fkn filthy assss hippie crack whore who took advantage of people like a bitch.
